The chipless RFID tag can be attached to a mobile object such as a product on a conveyor belt, an item dropping into a shopping trolley basket, a human or an animal in which the information is more difficult to detect than in the case where the tag is attached to a stationary object. In this research a new aspect of the chipless RFID tag detection which is detecting the tag while it is in motion is addressed in real world environment. The completed chipless RFID system is installed in a smart shopping trolley to detect different items. This is a breakthrough in the field of chipless RFID and gives a high opportunity for the commercialization of the chipless tag.
