Understanding the mechanical behaviour of cemented soils have significant importance in geotechnical engineering. This study with the aid of high-resolution X-ray CT imaging technology, aims to analyse evolution of inter particle void fabric of cemented sand under high pressures to explain their macro behaviour. Based on evolution of various scalar (sphericity, anisotropy) and directional (fabric anisotropy variable) parameters of void fabric for four types of samples (0, 10, 20 and 30% cemented sand) subjected to in situ X-ray CT imaging under one-dimensional compression, a conceptual framework to explain macro behaviour of cemented sand has been proposed.
