Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD), as a solution to uncertain climate change, supplements the urban flood-resistance capacity without massively retrofitting the underground system. Currently, none of the existing methods can comprehensively consider the long-term adaptation and performance evaluation of the WSUD-integrated urban water system under the uncertainty of the future. This thesis develops a planning method that provides step-by-step and time-dependent urban water infrastructure implementation pathways, which covers a range of water systems and various uncertain factors in the future, while improving the sustainability and livability of urban water system and even the whole city.
