The integrated information theory of consciousness (IIT) introspects our own conscious experiences to derive measures of consciousness. In principle, these measures can be applied to any physical system. However, in practice, they are difficult to apply to large brains. In this thesis, I evaluate the construct validity of IIT's measures by applying them to the relatively small fly brain.
