Deciphering the structural evolution of orogens through numerical modelling

This study investigates the role of convergence velocity, surface processes and internal heating individually to understand the influence of each on the structures found in mountains. The findings presented in this thesis show each process can dramatically alter the internal structure when dominant, with each process producing a unique structure.
