Improved Modelling of Long-Span Highway Bridge Traffic Loading

Traffic load modelling on the bridges plays an important role in the bridge design and assessment, but they are not well represented in the current national standards, especially for long-span bridges. This thesis investigates fundamental aspects of a realistic and efficient modelling of the traffic load in three aspects.
