Finite p-Groups and Coclass Theory

Symmetries arise in many areas of science, and group theory, as the Mathematics of Symmetry, models this natural concept. A prominent theme in group theory is the classification of p-groups since these groups play an important role in group theory. However, the sheer number of p-groups of a fixed size makes such a classification impossible; a different and fruitful approach is to use coclass. This project makes further advances in coclass theory, providing new results for skeleton groups and space groups.
