Alison Carver

Senior Research Fellow (Built environment and design; Health sciences)

Frankston, VIC

Dr Alison Carver is a Senior Research Fellow in the National Centre for Healthy Ageing (NCHA), Monash University. She works on complementary projects being undertaken by the Healthy Ageing Data Platform applying linked data to health service research. With a background in public health and behavioural epidemiology, she is interested how the built environment is related to health across the lifespan. For example, she explored how views of greenery are associated with mental health and wellbeing among aged-care residents. Her postdoctoral research focused on how social and built environments may influence children’s active transport, physical activity, and independent mobility.
