With specific consideration of the nature of the echo as an effect, a metaphor and an artistic and theoretical device to engage with narratives in their multiplicity. The research presents a case for understanding the sound within the oral tradition as a way to articulate complexity and a recognition of the importance of specificity. This research highlights the importance of an approach that is grounded in a need to work collaboratively to create space and language in which to generate, aggregate and amplify knowledges.
