Vehicle For Change: Designing Outreach and Education Programs Using Innovative Sustainable Vehicles

Vehicle For Change is a research project exploring how to effectively design outreach and engagement projects that use a sustainable vehicle, such as ebikes and solar cars, to reach a wide audience. This project uses a case study approach to explore the design of past projects, and undertaking a series of practical studio design projects. Studio projects include the design and implementation of projects that incorporate a solar-powered escooter, quadricycle (four person cycle), and a micro electric vehicle. The outcomes of this research are presented in the form of a practitioner’s guide, along with 31 design recommendations for future projects.
