Umpolung of Electron-Deficient Olefins Using Lewis Base Catalysis

Polarity inversion of electron-deficient olefins enabled by organocatalysts is undoubtedly one of the most powerful tools in organic synthesis. However, research within this field remains relatively underexplored. Thus, this thesis reports efforts in expanding this realm of chemistry using Lewis Base organocatalysts.
