This thesis examines the properties and applications of a van der Waals ferromagnetic semiconductor: Cr2Si2Te6. The opto-electrical and magneto-transport properties of the Cr2Si2Te6-based nanodevices are verified. Its good device performance and abnormal transport behavior are found to be different from other materials. This work can pave a new path for studying two-dimensional magnets and utilizing them in novel optoelectronic and spintronic applications.
