thesis
posted on 2024-03-03, 00:31 authored by ANDREA CECILIA CUESTA CLAROS
This thesis argues that universities must transform themselves to create a sustainable future for all. Specifically, this thesis looks into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are a globally agreed agenda proposing a vision for a more just and sustainable future for humanity and the planet. Furthermore, the SDGs are becoming widely popular in universities. Thus, the SDGs have the potential to transform universities. This thesis looks into how universities are adopting the SDGs, and studies the diverse ways university actors think about the SDGs. Based on this in-depth analysis, this thesis reflects on more meaningful ways of engaging with the SDGs.
