thesis

Increases in muscle strength are a result of contributions from the brain, spinal cord and muscles. However, the role of the brain is not well known. This thesis determined how the brain responds to strength training in order to support improvements in muscle strength across a training program. This information is useful for coaches and practitioners prescribing training for the improvement of strength.
