Successfully and sustainably Implementing evidence-based behaviour support practices in schools is a challenging task. School-wide Positive Behavioural Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) is one evidence-based behaviour support framework that has been implemented in Victorian schools in increasing numbers. As such, a need to understand what would support the successful and sustained implementation of SWPBIS has been identified. Through four interlinked studies, this thesis addresses gaps in the existing Australian SWPBIS research literature by exploring the variables that may contribute to successful and sustained implementation of SWPBIS in Victorian schools. The findings may further strengthen SWPBIS implementation efforts in Victoria.
