This thesis examines two modes of working in my practice. The first is a studio practice that produces distinct artworks, primarily; ceramics, animation and textiles. The second is my participation in a range of social networks that are produced by collaboration and curation. A series of reciprocal relationships are generated by the conflation of these two modes. I examine how these two modes of working inform and alter each other and the entangled networks they produce. How does a gathering (of things or people) become more than the sum of its parts, developing a momentum and life of its own?
