This thesis explores the impact of personality and social aspects of psychological in the context of women’s entrepreneurship in Malaysia. It contains three distinct self-contained chapters, which related to the topic. The first chapter examines the relationship between the tri-dimensional propensity to trust (non-strangers, strangers, and the government) and women's entrepreneurial preferences. The second chapter explores how Malay women use micro-entrepreneurship as a vehicle to overcome stigma. The third chapter investigates the correlation between levels of patience and women’s business expansion decisions. Findings from this thesis is particularly crucial for the policy makers in the women’s entrepreneurship field.
