This thesis consists of three chapters on contemporary financial accounting topics, focusing on regulation-driven information disclosure. The first chapter explores whether and how external information users utilize executive compensation disclosure, specifically, the performance peer disclosure. The second chapter investigates the role of compensation consultant in executive compensation design; specifically, the impact of shared compensation consultants on peer firm overlap in relative performance evaluation (RPE) in executive compensation. The third chapter explores the effects of the information sharing among lenders, exploiting the recent adoption of the open banking policy.
