Three Essays On Energy And Development Economics

This dissertation includes three chapters related to energy use and its impact on the economy and society. The first essay investigates the factors driving the adoption of rooftop solar in Australia, while the second essay explores the connection between energy consumption and female education in India. The third essay examines the determinants of energy productivity and identifies different convergence clubs across major regions. The findings highlight the need for effective policies to promote a sustainable energy transition towards renewables for Australian households promote female education in India and the role of energy and finally improve energy efficiency across the six major global regions and identify the convergence clubs.
