Environmental sensing has gathered tremendous attention due to ongoing climate change issues in recent years. These type of sensors coupled with the rapid emergence of the Internet of Things will enhance human comfort. This thesis presents novel fabrication and measurement techniques for developing a new generation of Quartz Crystal Microbalance-based sensors for monitoring environmental conditions such as humidity and ultraviolet.
