This PhD thesis investigated the impacts of therapy dog programs on the wellbeing of K-12 school students, focusing on both the benefits and challenges. It provided evidence on therapy dogs' effectiveness, as well as key considerations for safe implementation for students in schools, and recommended standardised guidelines for future therapy dog programs in schools.
