This thesis investigated how legal education can improve the subsequent therapeutic practise of law for the benefit of people in the community. It offers a way to develop our understanding of how Australian legal writing education can ensure clients, students and other legal actors are ultimately more visible within the law, including in law design, and in meeting legal needs. This thesis proposes that Therapeutic Jurisprudence (‘TJ’) can be used as a pedagogical device in legal writing education to produce lawyers who better meet the needs of their future clients.
