The role of the medial pulvinar in the postnatal development of the prefrontal cortex and cognitive function

The medial pulvinar is a structure of the brain that has uniquely evolved in primates including humans, but little is known of its function. This thesis examined the role of this structure in orchestrating brain development after birth, which was found to be essential for the development of cognitive behaviour in adulthood.
