The interplay between teachers’ and students’ imagined identities and English teaching and learning at Chinese universities

People's expectations for the future are important in guiding and improving education, but this is not investigated deeply in language education. This thesis develops a theoretical framework for understanding the interplay between such expectations and English teaching and learning.
