The impact of egg consumption on indices of gut and brain health

thesis
posted on 2025-12-11, 23:49 authored by Nessmah Sultan
This thesis investigates the impact of dietary egg intake on gut health and cognitive function in younger and older adults. The projects involved conducting extensive evidence synthesis and a large multi-component randomised controlled trial. Results indicated that egg intake promoted the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut and improved decision-making in older adults. These findings support the health benefits of daily consumption of chicken eggs.
