thesis
posted on 2018-08-27, 03:53 authored by OMAR HAMID S SULAYMANI
The thesis seeks to make an in-depth observation of children in their natural settings using a qualitative approach to understand the children’s development when they are first introduced to digital touch technologies (i.e. iPads) in an educational context in Saudi Arabia. This thesis adopted the cultural-historical paradigm; thus, the focus of this thesis is to determine the social interactions around the impact of the iPads on children’s development. Studying the movement or the process of children’s development from beginning to end as a developmental path is considered a key feature of the cultural-historical paradigm.
