This thesis examines the effect of a new drug which affects a specific pathway in an extremely aggressive type of breast cancer. This is one of the key pathways that causes this type of breast cancer to be spread to other areas of the body much faster than other types of breast cancer. With this understanding of how this drug works short and long term, we can also combine it with preexisting drugs that can possibly reduce development of drug resistance.
