With the pervasiveness of digital technologies in human lives, global studies on how people engage with digital technologies have gained momentum, particularly concerning children. However, while extensive studies have been conducted on children’s home digital literacy practices in different contexts, the nature of Iranian children’s home digital literacy practices has not been well examined. Thus, I intend to explore 1) how Iranian children engage with digital texts in English in their homes, 2) the role of parental perspectives and parental mediation strategies in the children’s digital practices, and 3) how these practices combine to foster early English language learning.
