This thesis contains an examination of the delivery and receipt of mental illness information among Australians. Data from the 2007 National Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing was analyzed. The author reports that it is worth continuing to invest in the provision of such information because many Australians, and many Australians with a mental illness, had not received it and large proportions of recipients find it helpful. The findings relating to the extent of receipt and perceived helpfulness of mental information are bench marks useful in the evaluation of future efforts to deliver mental illness information.
