There is a paucity of research regarding how psychologists assess and diagnose adults with dyslexia. Thus, this thesis sought to explore the understandings, assessment practices, and training experiences of psychologists in Australia who assess adults with dyslexia. To accomplish this aim, psychologists were surveyed and interviewed. Further, training programs were evaluated. The findings of this thesis suggest that psychologists in Australia need explicit guidelines and training in how to uniformly understand and assess dyslexia in adulthood.
