Making trucks more aerodynamically efficient is important for both environmental and economic reasons. This thesis first examines a simplified, two-dimensional truck geometry with different nose shapes to better understand their effects. It then studies how drag on these geometries can be reduced significantly by applying both constant and pulsed sucking and blowing through narrow slots at the rear of the body.
