CD39 is a protein expressed on cells in blood vessels and blood cells which reduces inflammation and prevents blood clotting. In this thesis we explore whether CD39, targeted to inflamed blood vessels, can prevent the development of diseases which are underpinned by small blood vessel damage and blood clots.
