The Spiritual Path: The Benefit of Spirituality in Nature for the Mental Health, Wellbeing and Recovery of People Living with Mental Illness

thesis
posted on 2021-10-25, 03:53 authored by SIMON ANDREW JONES
While spirituality and contact with nature are important for many people living with mental illness, it is unclear whether the experience of spirituality in nature contributes to their mental health, wellbeing and recovery. This is a qualitative constructivist grounded theory study that utilises a spirituality intervention and outdoor program to explore this issue with people living with mental illness in the outdoors.
