The Recovery of Anterograde and Retrograde Amnesia following Traumatic Brain Injury
thesis

This thesis examines the recovery of anterograde (post-injury) and retrograde (pre-injury) memories following moderate to severe traumatic brain injury. The findings suggest that retrograde autobiographical memory deficits are common in this population, and that broadening focus to consider life before the injury contributes valuable information with respect to the mechanisms underlying memory recovery and an individual’s ability to reintegrate into the community.
