The Imposition of Austerity in Greece: A neo-Gramscian Analysis

The central theme of thesis focuses on the prolonged excursion of Greece with austerity and the conditions under which it was made possible. In particular, employing a critical IPE lens, the thesis seeks to explain why, despite the negative and long-lasting consequences for the country, different governments of seemingly different ideological persuasion, opted for implementing and continuing with austerity policies.
