This thesis covers all data and findings achieved throughout the Masters candidature in the field of reproductive neuroendocrinology. The effects of neuroinflammation were examined on the reproductive axis to determine whether an inflammatory response in the brain affects the reproductive function. Several key players were found to be affected by neuroinflammation but it is unclear whether it is caused by the inflammatory response or mediated by oxidative stress in the hypothalamus.
