Photocatalytic degradation is a promising avenue to mitigate emerging contaminants water pollution. However, this technology suffers from low degradation efficiency which limits its practical application. This thesis addresses the challenges by the rational design, modifications and study of an enhanced titanium dioxide-based photocatalyst for aqueous emerging contaminants degradation. As a whole, this research work provides valuable insights and brings photocatalysis a step closer towards a large-scale practical applications.
