Tailoring Ionic Liquids to Stabilise Organic Radicals

thesis
posted on 2021-02-19, 02:00 authored by LUKE ADAM WYLIE
This thesis investigated the ability of ionic liquids to stabilise nitroxide radicals. This stabilising effect was then applied to determine the electrochemical activity of these nitroxides in ionic liquids. From here nitroxide radicals can be applied in all-organic redox flow batteries with ionic liquid electrolytes which have the potential for large-scale energy storage.
