thesis
posted on 2021-10-13, 09:36 authored by ISHTIAQUE SELIM
The thesis encapsulates the stories of rural livelihood of Bangladesh. As significant poverty still remains an issue for rural Bangladesh, a further investigation into livelihood, welfare, and economic development of the rural people warrants attention. In this context, the study focuses on rural non-farm employment, rural women’s autonomy in taking part in economic activity and financial decision-making by rural males. The findings presented in the thesis contribute to the extant literature and have important implications for policy responses.
