Systems Pharmacology of Polymyxins and Their Synergistic Combinations against Acinetobacter baumannii

thesis
posted on 2021-07-07, 06:41 authored by Jinxin Zhao
This thesis targets a significant global medical challenge, antimicrobial resistance. Cutting-edge systems pharmacology approaches were employed to elucidate the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance and synergistic killing of life-saving polymyxin-based combinations in multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii. This work provides critical pharmacological information for optimisation of dosage regimens of polymyxins and their combinations in patients.
