Synthesis of fatty acid-terminated polymers by copper-mediated polymerization for drug delivery applications

thesis
posted on 2021-01-09, 23:37 authored by ALEXANDER MOERSDORF
A library of lipid-terminated ATRP-initiators and polymers based on PEG were synthesized. The self-assembly of the amphiphilic PEG-polymers was studied, as well as their binding to bovine serum albumin. Cytotoxic studies and pharmacokinetics proved their capability to serve as drug delivery devices after binding to albumin.
