The research project seeks to improve the economic and environmental performance of the pulp and paper industry by incorporating a biorefinery. This is achieved by formulating a mathematical optimization model. Next, it is desired to study how the optimization solution would change when there are multiple business parties involved in the decision-making process. A framework is developed which considers the preference and priority of each business party regarding the optimal solution. The framework would then determine an optimal solution which is fair among all parties.
