Synthesis of Vanadium Dioxide Particles for Smart Window, Sensing and Other Applications

thesis
posted on 2019-04-18, 07:09 authored by YUAN FENG
Vanadium dioxide has its promising thermochromic property, both transmittance and resistance would change significantly responding to temperature variation near its phase transition temperature. Two major issues, including high production cost and few applications, hinder the wide use of vanadium dioxide products. This thesis shows some feasible ways to reduce the vanadium dioxide smart window cost for achieving the requirement of large-scale production in industry and demonstrates some potential applications rather than the smart window.
