Synthesis and Characterization of Polyoxometalate-Organic Architectures as Potential Photochromes and Mediators for Noncovalent Interactions

This thesis describes the chemical synthesis and characterization of photoswitchable, hybrid inorganic-organic molecular oxides supramolecular assemblies. These novel compounds use newly isolated molecular oxides to drive self-assembly and have great potential in various applications, including catalysis, medicinal delivery systems, and optical devices.
