Sustainable Process Design for Nanomaterial and Bioenergy Complex Derived from Lignocellulosic Biomass

thesis
posted on 2022-10-16, 22:13 authored by KHAI CHYI TEH
This thesis presents a sustainable process design for nanomaterial and bioenergy complex derived from oil palm empty fruit bunch biomass. The selected biomass is converted into potential self-synthesized high-end nanomaterials with a promising future and wide applications. At the same time, current potential products such as important chemical blocks and bioenergy production are also included in the biorefinery design. The biorefinery design is supported by qualitative and quantitative tools that evaluate the sustainability of the design from economic and environmental perspectives.
