Supply chain planning for perishable products under uncertainties

thesis

In today's competitive environment, supply chains are vital to ensure the availability of the right product in the right quantity at the right location. In a supply chain, the decision-maker often face challenges in maintaining a balance between supply and demand, especially when disruptions are present in the supply chain. This thesis addresses some of these challenges through new models and better optimisation algorithms. In this thesis, we have developed a novel and comprehensive approach with stochastic and mixed-integer non-linear optimisation models for perishable product’s supply chains, consisting of various levels of decision planning, and disruption and demand uncertainties.
