Suggestion-Induced Memory Distortions in Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

thesis
posted on 2024-12-10, 01:50 authored by Prerika Ravindra Sharma
This thesis explores whether posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is linked with a higher risk of incorporating suggestions or misinformation from others about stressful events. It is crucial to understand this relationship, as people with PTSD often interact with legal and therapeutic settings, where accurate memory is critical and there are opportunities for misinformation to be shared. The thesis builds research that can work towards protecting the memory of individuals with PTSD within such settings.
