Study of particle-fluid flow systems using two-fluid model

thesis
posted on 2021-12-26, 04:26 authored by YECHEN TANG
This thesis work is to numerically study the multiphase flow systems in Hydrocyclone and Pneumatic conveying processes, based on two-fluid model. The results shown that 1) the newly designed Hydrocyclone is capable to significantly improve the separation performance and also reduce the energy consumption; 2) the harmful solid flow fluctuation in Pneumatic Conveying process can be significantly reduced by several solutions proposed in this work. The outcome of this work will make great contribution in coal and ironmaking industries, where Hydrocyclone and Pneumatic conveying systems are heavily involved.
