This thesis consists of six individual studies which were conducted at the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre (MSHC) in the three and one half years following that announcement and represent a body of work addressing: how the HIV care cascade is used to track treatment coverage; the delay between HIV diagnosis and treatment initiation; the delay between HIV infection and viral suppression; morbidity amongst people living with HIV in the universal treatment era; and recent changes in HIV incidence.
