This thesis identifies that traditional university wellbeing resources do not typically cater for the increasing number of students studying fully online. Students are more likely to experience poor mental health and a review of student success factors identified that there is a need for improved student wellbeing support. Subsequently, an online mindfulness intervention was developed and provided to students across the university. Results showed that these programs are effective in improving student wellbeing and stress. This PhD provides recommendations for improving how we teach and support students, ultimately improving the success and wellbeing of all university students.
